Tag Orders With Customer Tags in Shopify by Using Arigato Automation

This automation will automatically transfer the customer tags to order tags when an order is created.

You can now import the ".arigato" workflow file you downloaded into the app.

  1. Open the Arigato Automation app in your Shopify admin.
  2. Visit the "Import & Export" page within the app.
  3. Scroll to bottom and upload your file to import the workflow.

This automation is fired when an order is created. It checks for customer tags and moves them over to the order as order tags. The workflow can also be extended to include other customer attributes such as meta fields. 

A common use case for the workflow is tagging orders by the customer membership plan. For stores with premium membership plans added as tags, the workflow will make it easy for them to filter based on these tags for processing. 

Pro tips: You'll need to have the customer added before the order is raised for best results from the workflow.
