Set A Metafield Value When A Product Is Sold Out in Shopify by Using Arigato Automation

You can now import the ".arigato" workflow file you downloaded into the app.
- Open the Arigato Automation app in your Shopify admin.
- Visit the "Import & Export" page within the app.
- Scroll to bottom and upload your file to import the workflow.
This clever workflow fires when a product's inventory has changed. It looks to see if inventory has gone to zero. If it has, it sets a mefafield value. When the product's inventory goes above zero, and the metafield value is still set to your sold out indicator, it will adjust the metafield to remove the sold out setting.
