Email Customer After Purchasing A Specific Product Based On Custom Field Values in Shopify by Using Arigato Automation

This automation will send a follow up email with product custom field values depending on the items they purchased.

You can now import the ".arigato" workflow file you downloaded into the app.

  1. Open the Arigato Automation app in your Shopify admin.
  2. Visit the "Import & Export" page within the app.
  3. Scroll to bottom and upload your file to import the workflow.

This workflow gets triggered on order creation; it scans through all the line items checking through a pre-defined metafield's value. 

If any of the product from the line items contains a value for the metafield, the workflow sends a follow-up email with the content from the metafield, to the customer. 

This applies commonly to stores that sell items with particular usage or assembly instructions such as Electronics and spare parts. With a metafield attached to the product, merchants can add product instructions and usage manuals to be emailed when the customer purchases the items.
