Set A Default Metafield Value When A Product Is Created in Shopify by Using Arigato Automation
If you regularly have to set the same metafield values for each product based on a condition, like Vendor, this workflow is for you.

You can now import the ".arigato" workflow file you downloaded into the app.
- Open the Arigato Automation app in your Shopify admin.
- Visit the "Import & Export" page within the app.
- Scroll to bottom and upload your file to import the workflow.
This task fires when a product is created. You can expand the concept easily, but in this example, we check for a particular product Vendor. If that Vendor is found, we set a default metafield value, but you can add actions to set more than one metafield at once. Using additional Condition Groups, you can expand one workflow to set any number of metafield values, based on multiple criteria.
