Capture Partial Payments For Orders Partially Paid With Gift Cards in Shopify by Using Arigato Automation
This automation allows you to automatically capture payments for partial payments, normally when a gift card is used.

You can now import the ".arigato" workflow file you downloaded into the app.
- Open the Arigato Automation app in your Shopify admin.
- Visit the "Import & Export" page within the app.
- Scroll to bottom and upload your file to import the workflow.
This automation is fired when an order is created or updated. The workflow checks if the order has been authorized and then captures the payment.
One of the main benefits of using this automation is the ability to capture partial payments where the amount authorized is less than the order amount. The default capture approach would otherwise try to capture the full order amount.
This is very common for stores offering gift cards as this reduces the amount payable whenever the gift card is used for payment.
